During Abi's 6th grade year, she was part of the KHES News Team. There are about 12 students chosen for each semester to produce the morning announcements. Abi was anchor one of her last days. 
The News Team took a field trip on May 27, 2011 to the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. The students were able to tour where radio stations and TV stations are produced locally. Some of the girls on the News Team are Maura, Rachel, Madison, Riley, Anna, and Abi.

The field trip was very informative and the kids loved seeing the behind the scenes locations. Who knows....maybe one day some of them will have a career in front of the camera.

The next game they played was a race to see who could pop a balloon first, by sitting on it. There were extra game tokens inside the balloon for the girl who won each round.
